Join us for a special panel discussion about programs available from the Virginia Financing Authority with our guests: Howard Pisons, Executive Director of Virginia Small Business Financing Authority Karen White, Regional Lending Manager, SBSD Virginia Financing Authority The Virginia Small Business Financing Authority offers programs to provide businesses, not-for-profits, and economic development authorities with the financing needed for economic growth and expansion throughout the Commonwealth. VSBFA offers loans directly to businesses & non-profits, credit enhancements to banks that are lending to businesses & non-profits, as well as bond financing to benefit for-profit businesses, 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit entities, and to support clean energy and P3 transportation projects. It also helps small businesses seeking to attract equity investments by providing an equity incentive grant program. In addition to the Loan Guaranty Program the VSBFA works with lenders and bankers under the SSBCI Cash Collateral Program and the Loan Guaranty Program. The SSBCI Collateral program is for when the business loan applicant has the demonstrated ability to cash flow the debt, but the collateral coverage is insufficient for the bank’s normal underwriting standards. Howard and Karen will be here to talk about VSBFA programs and how they can help Loudoun businesses with their own financing needs. We will also get an update from Abby Johnson, Executive Director of the Virginia PACE Authority about a new energy efficiency and renewable energy financing tool known as Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy or C-PACE. Specifically, she will explain how C-PACE can pay for needed capital expenditures or installation of high efficiency equipment that increases cash flow and sustainability with no upfront costs now that this program is available for Loudoun County businesses.
