Navigating the Entrepreneurial Journey is a unique, 4-part, 90-minute, action-oriented group counseling workshop series, facilitated by Senior Business Advisers from the Mason Small Business Development Center.

This programming intent is specifically designed to listen, understand, address and lay out an action plan for Manassas businesses in order to address real problems, from real business owners in near-real time.

• Dates: May 19th, 21st, 26th, and 28th (2026) (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

• Time: 8 AM - 9:30 AM

PARTICIPANTS' REQUIREMENTS:

• Only business owners in the City of Manassas, specifically in zip code 20110

• Be in business for > 1 year; you are post revenue

• Complete a required but simple 1 page, pre-work intake template, intended to clearly prioritize 1-2 business issues that fit into 1 of 4 broad areas:

  • How well have you created a strong value proposition before they made any serious investment or sought a loan?
  • Have you conducted Discovery and Validation to determine demand, market value extraction opportunity
  • How well are you turning value into topside revenue growth?
  • Are you operating and growing the business with some process discipline like a system? i.e. business performance dashboard metrics and reporting, use of Ai in your business operations, cybersecurity and HR compliance approaches, talent management for growth, etc.

25 participants to be chosen by a lottery; notified of selection by May 4th
