Topic: Marketing and Sales

Podcasting (or, netcasting) is the process of uploading syndicated audio or video files online so that people can listen to them on-the-go. Most people know the ever-popular Apple iTunes and inside iTunes is the largest podcast directory to-date with a half-billion podcasts on a wide variety of topic--from laundry (A Slob Comes Clean) to car repair (Under The Hood Car Repair Talk Radio Show) to business (HBR IdeaCast). Google has committed to tripling the podcast listening audience in the next few years. So, while podcasting is trendy and buzzworthy in the media today, it has yet to hit its peak in the Web, Social Media & Mobile marketing world. And, that’s where Small Business owners like you can really take advantage of the opportunity. Social selling today requires more, higher-quality content production from Small Business than ever before, and podcasting is no exception. It takes hard work. However, the power of podcasting will bring compound dividends to your business like no other marketing medium today. So, how do you start a podcast? What software, equipment and services do you need? And, how do you promote a podcast? Those are all good questions, and all those and more will be covered in this full-day workshop with Ray Sidney-Smith, Digital Marketing Strategist, author and podcaster. Here’s who this workshop is for: • Do you have a business website, blog or email newsletter? Are you committed to producing consistent content for your podcast? • Do you have a product or service? • Are you a subject matter expert or thought leader in your profession/industry? • Do you have a general idea of what content you’d like to produce for your podcast? If you answered “yes” to two or more of the questions above, you’re a great candidate to participate in the full-day workshop! *****IMPORTANT: To get most out of the day, bring your podcast ideas (themes, topics and categories); we will work on this together as a group. A light breakfast & lunch are included.
