Crisis Communication

May

2020
Tue, May 5 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Topic: Customer Relations

The COVID-19 pandemic has, in many ways, forever altered the way business is conducted. And as Virginia prepares to re-open, small businesses, already suffering from lost income and disrupted systems, are facing skittish customers and a slumping economy.

Are you ready to communicate in this new environment?

The Roanoke Small Business Development Center is hosting a free webinar in partnership with PRSA to sharpen your crisis communications chops.

The webinar is led by Chris Turnbull, MS, director of corporate communications and operational continuity at Carilion Clinic and president of the Blue Ridge chapter of PRSA. He will be joined by former Roanoke Valley resident Thomas Becher, MS, APR, director of marketing and PR services at ECU Communications.

They will provide a broad overview of crisis communications and some tips you can immediately apply to your post-pandemic business plan, including how to plan for crises, create key messages, and deliver those messages to your customers, the media and other stakeholders.
