QuickBooks Boot Camp: Master Your Business Finances (In-Person!)

This is an in-person Training. A laptop is required to participate. LIMITED TO 8 PEOPLE

Learn to put the power of QuickBooks Online to work for your business. This hands-on, QuickBooks Pro Advisor led in person QuickBooks Online for Beginners Training with the Greater Roanoke & NRV SBDC will show you how to unlock the power of QuickBooks, and empower you to manage your business finances.

Topics included in this workshop are:

• Overview of QuickBooks Online (QBO) benefits & features
• QuickBooks Online subscriptions – review various subscriptions and fees
• Setup a Company File – setting up new company file
• Overview of User interface – review menus and navigating throughout QBO
• Customizing your Company File – setting preferences, adding users
• Chart of Accounts – standard COA and customizing for your business
• Banking Downloads – connecting banks, adding & matching transactions
• Accounts Receivable & Customers – products & services, customers, sales receipts, invoices, payments, credit memos, refunds, statements
• Accounts Payable & Vendors – vendors, purchase orders, entering bills, paying bills
• Reconciling accounts – basic overview of reconciliations
• Reporting – review basic reports, balance sheet, profit & loss, custom reports
• Basic review of other features and apps
• Q&A with QuickBooks Pro-Advisor

This class is for those currently using or want to start using the use the online versions of QuickBooks. This class is not for those who use QuickBooks Enterprise or QuickBooks Desktop. Attendees are required to bring their own laptop to access QuickBooks Online Sample Company for training. You don't need to have a subscription to QuickBooks, but will have the option to set up your QuickBooks Online Account during the training.

Training Attendees to SBDC's QuickBooks Trainings receive a discount coupon on QuickBooks Online. (some subscription limitations apply)

The SBDC does not provide a computer to participate in this in person workshop. You must bring your own laptop/tablet to the training.

The City of Roanoke is our fiscal host. The registration fee helps support advising and training for small businesses in our region.

Refunds are not available. The registration fee for the event covers the planning, preparation, and materials that are coordinated in advance.

The SBDC reserves the right to cancel a workshop/event/program for insufficient enrollment, weather emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. If an event is canceled or postponed and you have not pre-registered we will not be able to contact you.
