About this workshop

A strong child care program depends on effective people and well-organized human resource practices. This session will help child care leaders understand the primary functions of human resource management and how recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and other HR processes contribute to overall program success.

HR Essentials is Session 4 of the four-part Early Education Business Program series. Each session may be taken individually, so participants can attend the topics that best meet their business needs.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Describe the primary functions of a human resource management system in child care
  • Identify how recruitment, onboarding, and performance management connect to overall program success
  • Evaluate which human resource areas in your program need additional development or structure
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen HR processes and support more consistent program operations

Who should attend

This session is designed for child care center owners, directors, and early education business leaders who are responsible for managing staff and want to strengthen their human resource systems and processes.

What you’ll walk away with

You’ll gain a clearer understanding of the role HR systems play in child care operations and how key processes can support program success. You’ll also have a framework for identifying areas where your current HR practices may need additional structure or development.
