This workshop is designed to teach the basics of desktop version of QuickBooks. The things that you need to know to perform typical bookkeeping tasks. The QuickBooks workshop will be hosted as an open forum to allow for questions and answers. Attendees will participate in Instructional, Lab and Question and Answer sessions. Attendees encouraged to bring a laptop to class. Topics covered: - Gain an overview and understand how QuickBooks Desktop works - Learn common business terms used in QuickBooks - Discuss decisions that must be made before using QuickBooks such as set up preferences - Learn about custom fields and company chart of accounts - See how to manage lists in QuickBooks - Learn how to work with registers for QuickBooks bank accounts - Learn the features common to all registers - Introduce other account types available in QuickBooks Materials needed for training: - personal laptop - Install QuickBooks on your device

Debra Wilson began her accounting business in 2007 after 10+ years in Governmental Accounting. After successfully reconciling $165M in 16 programs using QuickBooks she focused on growing her own business. In conjunction with her accounting, she taught as an adjunct faculty at Northern Virginia Community College, Bluefield State College and National Business College in Bluefield, VA. Her strength in business comprehension and governmental accounting allows her to offer solutions to a variety of clientele.
