This is a self-guided online learning module that covers the First Steps to Starting a Business webinar. You will receive the link to the module within 1 business day upon receiving your payment. You will have three weeks to go through the online module and it does not need to be completed before the end of the month.

The module will provide you with information about the services offered by the SBDC, business research sources available, an overview of various business entities, local requirements for starting a business, and insurance requirements.

Angie Kelley joined the Small Business Development Center in 2017 as an Early Venture Business Consultant. She developed the First Steps to Starting a Business Online Learning Module and teaches the Blue Print Business Plan Workshop. She works diligently with clients to form new business entities, project monthly cash flows, prepare borrowers for small business loans, and register to sell to state and federal government agencies. Angie has a MBA from the University of Mary Washington. Prior to working with the SBDC, Angie started and currently owns and operates a local landscaping company since 2001.
