Topic: Government Contracting

This is Part Two of our upcoming GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING Series which will provide relevant and specific information relating to securing a federal, state and/or local goverment contract. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A VIRTUAL WORKSHOP. Registrants will receive an email a few days before the event with a link to join the online meeting.

Many local government procurement agencies and the Commonwealth of Virginia’s procurement agency have a “set-aside” program that gives priority to small, woman-owned and/or minority-owned (SWaM) companies. Companies must apply for SWAM certification to be considered in this set-aside program.

Topics covered in this workshop:

Details/benefits of the small business set-aside preference program

Navigating the SWaM application process

Positioning your business for greater success at winning contracts

Live demo and walk thru of the SWaM certification website and the eVA website

Presented by Courtney Mustin, Business Services Manager, Virginia Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity
