Topic: Government Contracting

Last year, the Commonwealth of Virginia spent more than $6 Billion on goods and services. Goods and services that you probably sell! For every $100 the Commonwealth spent on goods and services, $37, went to a SWaM vendor. Are you getting your share? The "Selling to the Commonwealth” workshop is a 2 - hour workshop designed to educate small, woman and/or minority business owners about opportunities to sell their goods and services to the Commonwealth and local governments. Each year the state buys goods and services totaling more than $8 billion. The Commonwealth of Virginia wants to do business with you and increase participation of small, women owned, and minority-owned businesses. This workshop will provide information about the Virginia procurement process. This free seminar will help you position your firm to capitalize on this enormous market. The seminar will teach you how to best identify your target audience across all state agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia. You will also learn about the ease of having your business become SWaM and Micro certified and how this can impact your firm’s sales. To reserve your seat, please register on line at www.lfsbdc.org under Workshops and Events or call David Reardon at 540-727-0638.
