Thu 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Topic: Marketing and Sales

When you think of your business' brand, does a logo come to mind? What about when you think of marketing – social media handles and reels?

This is part of the picture, but there's SO much more important decisions and thinking that goes into branding and marketing materials. Learn, discover, and ask questions in this in-person workshop with the Capital Region SBDC and Hanover Economic Development. We'll go over basic brand identity questions you need to be able to answer, how to ground your visuals and written words in that brand identity, and what constitutes a marketing plan (if we have time!). Attendees will leave with new knowledge and thought processes, as well as a workbook on branding basics, an example of a marketing strategy plan, and a list of resources and referrals for branding and marketing needs.

Presenter: Megan Nolde, Client Services Coordinator and Business Advisor for the Capital Region SBDC. Megan holds a Master's in Fine Art, a Master's in Public Administration, and is a practicing visual artist as well as the owner of "SAGE" (a consulting business for small nonprofits and local businesses). She also serves on various committees and provides strategic support for Artspace Gallery in Richmond, VA. Megan is a certified GrowthWheel Business Advisor, as well as holding a Intermediate Level certification in Export and International Trade Counseling from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
