The Portsmouth Procurement Contracting Institute is an 8-week, in-person seminar designed to increase the capacity and success of minority women owned small businesses desiring to do business with localities, private partners, the State and Federal government. This course will teach businesses how to compete for contracts as a strategy to grow and expand their business, while improving minority participation amongst prime contractors and subcontractors with the City of Portsmouth.

Eligibility: Small business located in Hampton Roads • Minimum one year in business • Minority & women owned businesses • Desired business industries: Construction, Architecture & Engineering, Professional Services, Non-Professional Services, and Goods & Equipment

Program Schedule: Every Thursday, from January 9, 2024 – February 27, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Sessions held in-person at Portsmouth Economic Development offices.
