Topic: Managing a Business

Are you clear on who your customer actually is — and can they find you?

This Military Business Network session is about two things that matter if you want your business to grow: finding the right customer, and making sure you’re visible to them. We’ll combine structured networking with a practical SBDC-led session on understanding your customer, positioning your business, and using networking properly — not awkwardly — to open real doors.

This isn’t about selling harder — it’s about connecting better. Join us for a practical session on finding your perfect customer, speaking their language, and using simple networking techniques that lower barriers and open doors.

Speaker(s): Mrs Paula Short, SBDC Business Advisor Paula Short is an entrepreneur, business advisor, and military spouse with over 25 years’ experience building and selling businesses. A former founder featured on Dragons’ Den UK (Shark Tank), she now supports military-connected entrepreneurs through the SBDC, helping them define their brand, find their customer, and build businesses that last.
