Topic: Managing a Business

The Importance of Being Fearless What if failure wasn’t a limitation and taking risks was your status quo? What could you do? Most success happens when we explore and experiment - not when we are fearful. In business, being fearless means setting audacious goals, acting boldly, embracing unlikely partnerships, and accepting the possibility of failure. In this session, we’ll examine common fears and learn how to trust our own abilities, assess realities, understand our passions, and test our assumptions. We’ll talk about turning idea generation into action, the concept of “minimal viable product,” the need to learn and adapt, and how to fail forward. Presenter: Kirsten Moore is owner of The Hub Coworking in Harrisonburg. With six successful startups spanning 15 years, a painful divorce, and one personal reinvention later, Kirsten has learned the art of living fearlessly, never shying away from an opportunity or starting a conversation that matters. Her 20+ year career in marketing, communication, and hospitality will create a safe space to explore and articulate what fears are holding us back and how we create a clear plan to move past them.

Speaker(s): Kirsten Moore is owner of The Hub Coworking in Harrisonburg.
