Many of us shy away from giving or receiving feedback. We like to think that we are doing our best at work every day. But it is a deep desire of humans to receive information. So why do we avoid feedback? Simple…. like the dental appointment, it can be uncomfortable! Sometimes, receiving (or giving) feedback can be as painful as getting a root canal! But, it doesn’t have to be. With proper tools and practice, this necessary process provides an opportunity to strengthen the team and enhance individual effectiveness. During this session, we will review information and share tools to assist participants in: • Understanding the different types of feedback • Getting comfortable with receiving feedback • Implementing a personal feedback equation • Creating a non-confrontational approach to feedback • Sharing feedback up-, down-, across the organization After the training, participants will be prepared to embrace feedback and may even look forward to their annual check-ups at the dentist!
