Join us for one of our 2 Info sessions to learn about Strasburg+ Certification! This is a hands-on business development program designed to help local business owners strengthen the skills, strategies, and systems that support long-term growth. Through a series of interactive workshops and one-on-one advising, participants will gain practical tools they can apply directly to their businesses while earning recognition as a committed, future-ready business in the Strasburg community.

You’ll learn how to:

• Use AI tools to improve efficiency and support business operations
• Create effective marketing materials using Canva
• Improve your online visibility through search engine optimization (SEO)
• Leverage tourism and local marketing opportunities to attract customers
• Build and implement a practical business action plan with guidance from an SBDC advisor

Who should attend

This program is designed for Strasburg-area business owners and entrepreneurs who want to strengthen their marketing, visibility, and growth strategies while receiving individualized business support and accountability.

What you’ll walk away with

Participants will leave with practical skills, personalized guidance from the Laurel Ridge Small Business Development Center, a completed business action plan, and Strasburg+ Certification recognizing their commitment to business growth and continuous improvement.

The Town of Strasburg and the Laurel Ridge SBDC have collaborated to create this program to support local business success through education, advising, and community engagement.

Before you attend

The program includes a kickoff session followed by four workshops:

• Kickoff & Information Session: June 30 - FREE
• Workshop 1: July 28
• Workshop 2: August 25
• Workshop 3: September 29
• Workshop 4 & Certification Recognition: October 27

Each session is 90 minutes in length.

To earn Strasburg+ Certification, participants must:

• Attend all four workshops
• Complete three SBDC counseling sessions
• Develop a business action plan
• Submit a $50 deposit, fully refundable upon successful completion of the program

The kickoff session will be held at Strasburg Town Hall, 174 E. King Street, Strasburg, VA. Attendees may choose either the 8:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. session.
