Trademarks, Copyright, and Bears, Oh My! Please join us for an informal “fireside chat” on intellectual property issues of interest to artists in CREATE VA. Everyone will have the opportunity to ask our speaker, Susan Anthony, USPTO, about any concerns you may have about trademarks and copyright, in the physical world, online, in the U.S. and internationally. Susan has over 35 years of experience in intellectual property, in the private, corporate, and government sectors, with a particular love of trademarks, copyrights, domain names, traditional cultural expressions. She wears many hats in her job and she also has spoken to many groups over the years, including teachers who need to understand IP as well as colleagues involved in the study of the American Civil War. She says she can’t be stumped, so let’s see if she’s up to the challenge!
