All business is about relationships, and that's doubly true when working internationally. To maximize potential and avoid costly miscommunication, exporters and their foreign partners need to be on the same page.

In this webinar, Aaron Miller and Chris Van Orden of the Virginia SBDC's International Business Development program will discuss actionable strategies that exporters can employ when working with foreign-based importers, distributors, agents, and partners.

Speakers:

Aaron Miller, International Trade Director, Virginia SBDC-

Aaron is the Director of the International Business Development program at the Virginia Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) at George Mason University. In this role, Aaron and his team work with small businesses to help them increase sales through exports, access capital and financing, comply with U.S. regulations, and build or augment export competencies. As Director, Mr. Miller also leads an interdisciplinary team of undergraduate and graduate students at Mason who provide customized research for Virginia firms. Students under his leadership have gone on to careers at the World Bank, government, venture capital and private equity, consulting firms and small businesses, as well as top 25 law and business schools.

Chris Van Orden, International Trade Assistant Director, Virginia SBDC-

Chris is the Assistant Director of International Business Development at the Virginia Small Business Development Centers at George Mason University, where he supports Virginia's SMEs on their global business goals through direct counseling and customized training. Mr. Van Orden is a Certified Global Business Professional with over ten years' experience in international business.
