Facilitated by Virginia SBDC

Virginia farmers have access to a growing number of tools that can help with everything from crop disease identification to irrigation and tractor guidance — many of them free or low-cost, and most of them work with limited or no internet.

This session walks through

  • what's available,
  • what it actually costs,
  • and how to figure out where to start.

Speaker: Chris Funkhouser, Founder of brings 8-Bit Consulting, an AI automation consultancy based in Winchester, VA.
Chris brings over 20 years of hands-on operations experience across restaurant management, medical office administration, and entertainment services. In addition to business ownership, he serves as Adjunct Instructor and AI Strategist with Laurel Ridge Community College Workforce Solutions, where he teaches AI strategy through Leadership Basecamp and Institute programs and webinars.  Chris works with small businesses to figure out where automation and AI make sense in their day-to-day operations — and where it doesn't.

A confirmation email with the Zoom login information will be sent after registration - a day before before the event - please be on the lookout for it.
