With ever-increasing numbers of technology solutions on the market, there have never been more data points available to the craft beverage producer. But in a sea of information, it can be hard to block out the noise and focus on what really makes a difference for a craft producer’s profitability.
In this session, Virginia SBDC Craft Beverage Assistance Manager Chris Van Orden will ask Chris Farmand, Founder and Principal of Small Batch Standard, about five fundamental benchmarks that get to the heart of a business’s financial health.
About the Speaker: When Chris Farmand first started out, he set out to be the premiere accounting technology firm in North Florida. But it didn’t take long for him to realize that technology is only a tool, not a differentiator. It was only when he happened across a brewery in Jacksonville that needed accounting help that he saw both the complexities that come with running a brewery, and the opportunity to help a growing industry of entrepreneurs who have potential to create amazing, local products. Once that happened, things changed for good. Small Batch Standard was born, and Chris has spent the last decade serving, learning from, and helping breweries and craft producers across the country.
