A year and a half ago Al Adelgren decided to pursue his dream to have his own flooring store, which came to be named Williamsburg Floors, LLC. Mr. Adelgren had six years’ experience as manager of a local flooring retail store, and 17 years’ experience as wholesale territory manager for flooring distributors. Williamsburg Floors was an immediate success. Mr. Adelgren had loyal customers from his previous position, and was serving an expanding market. He borrowed $30,000 and injected $20,000 of his own money. Within slightly over a year he was able to repay the loan in full. He is now adding his son-in-law as an employee, and will be able to cut back on the grueling work schedule he had maintained. He was also able to buy a new delivery van.
