Occupational Therapy Practice

A local Chamber of Commerce referred two licensed Occupational Therapists interested in starting their own practice to the SBDC.

The pair realized that the aging population in United States was increasing the demand for physical therapy. They had consulted with local physicians who confirmed that the area had a strong need for qualified therapists. They had the training and skills; the only thing they needed was assistance with the financing.

The SBDC worked with the team to develop the financial projections as well as the business plan. Using their plan, they received financing offers from several local banks. After choosing the best offer, the therapists opened their new clinic in a newly built stripmall.
