Regional Centers

The Virginia SBDC network is organized into five regions to better meet the needs of the diverse business communities. Each region is lead by a premier institution.

George Mason University is the lead center for the Potomac Region that includes the areas of Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg and the Northern Neck. Local SBDCs in the Potomac Region are:

       Alexandria SBDC - City of Alexandria
       SBDC at Community Business Partnership SBDC - Springfield
       Mason SBDC - Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William, Manassas
       Loudoun SBDC
       Rappahannock Region SBDC- Fredericksburg and Warsaw

James Madison University is the lead center for the Central Region that covers the Shenandoah Valley, Central Virginia and Richmond. Local SBDCs in the Central Region are:

       Greater Richmond SBDC
       Shenandoah Valley SBDC - James Madison University
       Shenandoah Valley SBDC - Blue Ridge Community College
       Lord Fairfax SBDC - Middletown
       Lord Fairfax SBDC - Fauquier
       Central VA SBDC - Charlottesville

Radford University is the lead center for the Southwest Region that spans from Roanoke to Richlands. Local SBDCs in the Southwest Region are:

       Roanoke Regional SBDC
       Radford University SBDC
       Southwest Virginia SBDC
       Mountain Empire SBDC
       Virginia Highlands  SBDC
       Crossroads SBDC at the Southwest Regional Enterprise Center

Longwood University is the lead center for the Southern Region that covers Lynchburg and the Southside. Local SBDCs in the Southern Region are:

       Longwood University SBDC:
               Farmville
               Martinsville
               Petersburg
               South Boston
               Danville
       Region 2000 SBDC (Lynchburg) 
     
Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is the lead center for the Hampton Roads region covering the Eastern Shore to Tidewater. Local SBDCs in the Hampton Roads Region are:

       Hampton Roads SBDC:
               Chesapeake
               Eastern Shore
               Hampton
               Williamsburg
