VETBIZ Resources Center

VetBizResourceCenter.com was developed to help veterans, Reservists, and National Guardsmen, who are also small business owners, find support for their entrepreneurship.

Each of the four modules has a 3-to-5-minute tutorial about the topic, with “case studies” interspersed.

Each tutorial has a key idea:

  • Planning Ahead for Deployment:  It is crucial for National Guardsmen and Reservists who own small businesses to have detailed deployment plans. This section of the site teaches you how to develop one and why you should.

  • Financing Your Business:  The SBA has two loan programs designated for Veterans, Reservists, and National Guardsmen who are small business owners. Find out how each works.

  • Contracting and Certification:  Veterans and Service-Disabled Veterans are given priority when selling to Uncle Sam, but first they have to get a certification. Learn how to get it and why you should.
  • From Boots to Business:  Veterans make up an unusually large number of successful small business owners. Find out how to successfully transition from the service to your small business.

Each module has a resource section that contains 15-to-20 printable PDFs of data sheets and forms from a variety of difficult-to-navigate websites.  Each PDF gives the URL of the site where the original data can be found, saving you hours and hours of website searching.
